Now is the Day of Salvation

One of the great promises in the Bible that speaks so clearly to me comes from John 6:37, where Jesus said, “All that the Father gives to me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” It says to me that no matter the condition of my human weakness, no matter the human flaws that compete against me, He will not turn me away, He will not reject me; instead, He welcomes me with tender, loving, and open arms.

No doubt, everyone can identify with rejection and the hurt that comes with it. My experience and the lessons learned stems from having to grow up being rejected by family. You see, I was adopted into a family as an infant, and outside of my adopted father and mother’s circle of love, the rest of the family rejected me because I was from the outside, I was not a blood relative. I carried that hurt, the resentment, and yes, the bitterness within me for a long time until one day, a peace came over me, and the Spirit spoke to my heart with these words that came to mind, “You are now of My blood and an eternal member of My heavenly family.” Hallelujah!

The promise of acceptance, given by Jesus, applies to all who, by faith, choose to follow Him. We know the world is full of disappointments, we know it is littered with broken promises, and we have all seen various forms of rejection, but Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” and “the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out” (John 6:37; 14:6). Therefore, if you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, now is the time to commit your life to Christ and experience life like never before as an accepted child of God. Now is the time for your salvation for Scripture teaches us, “the kingdom of God is at hand” (Mark 1:15).

How can I do so? Great question. Seek out a Christian friend or go to a local Bible-believing Bible-preaching church and tell your friend or someone at the church that you want to follow Jesus as your Savior and Lord. That Christian brother or sister will gladly guide you in the next steps, and when you commit your life to Jesus Christ, please let us know here at A Faithful Sower so we can rejoice with and pray for you.

A while ago I made up a song about there is room at the altar. Jesus is calling for that one. It just simply blows me away when I think of all the times He came knocking at my hearts door and I turned away.

But oh how grateful I am that He never stopped pursuing after me. Because it was that day when I open the door and my life has never been the same. The bible says in Luke 15:10 in the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Today is the day for Salvation!

Amen! I assure you that you are not alone when it comes to disregarding the gentle loving knock of Jesus at our heart’s door. He is indeed the good Shepherd who leaves the 99 sheep that are not in danger to seek out and pursue the one that is lost or has strayed. Thank you, Jesus! Always a pleasure conversing with you Desiray. 🙂 ! Blessings.
