Great is Thy Faithfulness

The Bible does not exaggerate the critical role that faith has in our salvation and spiritual growth to become more Christ-like in our walk with God. It is even more crucial for us to recognize and give thanks to God daily for His faithfulness towards us for while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us the Bible says. From start to finish, the Bible continually reminds us of how faithful God is towards us. Here are but a few verses to consider:

The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” (Exo. 34:6/ESV)

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22-23/ESV)

For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.” (Psalm 33:4/ESV)

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thes. 3:3/ESV)

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” (Heb. 10:23/ESV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9/ESV)

Be encouraged to take the time to ponder the endless depth of God’s faithfulness and reflect on how we have seen it day-after-day in this brief journey we call life. Let us give praise and adoration to God, who never wavered in His faithfulness towards us in our time of faithlessness towards Him (2 Tim. 2:13). As you meditate on these things, I invite you to listen to the beautiful words of the hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” sung by a talented young woman, Melody Joy. Enjoy, and God bless.
