The Gospel of John: Peter’s Recommissioning

Episode Notes:

Focus Scripture: John 21:1-17

We all encounter failure at one time or another; it is a part of life. Some failures we can easily shrug off and move on, while others tend to bog us down like a huge weight around our necks. The failures that bog us down are where we continually kick ourselves repeatedly, failures that we use to convince ourselves we cannot achieve success or be used in one capacity or another. That is where I believe we find Peter’s emotional state when Jesus invites Him and the other disciples to join Him for breakfast. As always, I hope this week’s message speaks to you in a special way or perhaps will help you to help someone else who carries the burden of failure.
