Our Beginning

A Faithful Sower Ministry is a non-profit outreach ministry sponsored by A Faithful Sower Publishing, a limited liability company founded by its president and publisher, Darryl Orrell. More than a decade ago, Pastor Darryl felt God calling him into vocational ministry. As he pursued the path of pastoral ministry, the Spirit of God spoke to his heart, and these words came to mind: “While you can reach a congregation, a community through the gift of preaching, you can reach people worldwide through the gift of writing and reach multiple generations to come.” A short time later, A Faithful Sower was born.

We are committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. Our mission is to help guide people into a relationship with Jesus and to help them grow and draw closer in their walk with God. Our team of authors is dedicated to achieving that purpose through prayer and careful exposition of the Bible. Our goal is to break down each message in a way that best explains and illustrates the teaching points of Scripture in a meaningful, engaging way that offers life application.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to carry out The Great Commission issued by Jesus to all who accept and follow Him as their Savior and Lord. Jesus calls us to:

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.“

Statement of Faith

We believe:

Divinely inspired men wrote the collective books of the Holy Bible, and the combined work serves as God’s revelation of Himself to man. Therefore, we emphasize the exegesis and exposition of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, verse by verse, and precept upon precept.

There is only one living and true God. He has chosen to reveal Himself to man in the form of three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all-wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.

In the deity of Jesus Christ, He is God’s eternal Son. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. His redemptive work on the cross provided the redemption of man from sin. Jesus rose from the grave and ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God, but He shall, one day, return to earth and establish His millennial kingdom. 

The Holy Spirit, the third member of the holy trinity, is the Spirit of God who is fully divine. He indwells Christian believers to guide them in righteousness and to convict them of sin. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer until the day of final redemption. 

There is no spiritual salvation apart from being born again into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.
